2022 Calls for more transparent Social Performance Data reporting

Business leaders are now accountable for the impact they are having on society. This has led to calls for more robust and transparent reporting across key materiality issues entrenched in the management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements.

Global leaders are recognising the shift from shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism, whereby successful companies have expressed a shift in their mission towards creating long term value for a broad range of stakeholders such investors, employees, communities, local governments, customers and suppliers. This has resulted in increased pressure on companies for more in-depth and transparent reporting.

The private sector needs to respond and demonstrate to all stakeholders that it can build resilience against global threats and commit to long-term, sustainable value creation. Companies are now looking at better ways in capturing and assuring sustainability data, especially with the global change of remote working. As a result, cloud-based software is fast becoming one of the most significant investments for corporates, and excel spreadsheet reporting is changing to more robust systems that offer multilevel access for employees and managers.

MTS is well aware of the shift in reporting; their insight on collecting social performance data is the result of years of passion that built Insite, MTS cloud-based software. Insite uses data from Payroll, Human Resources and Procurement systems to inform the investment required to achieve localisation, diversity and Inclusion In the Workforce and Supply Chain. Mining companies that have been using this software have shown that;

  • Insite connects to multiple data sources allowing mines to get ahead of your Social Performance Data reporting.
  • Eliminate risk and errors in reporting, as the software can draw reports as per statutory reporting measures such as the Mining Charters, SLP and B-BBEE  Scorecard, to name a few.
  • Streamline your Social Performance Data
  • and management reports.
  • Take control of your high frequency, recurring, multi-author reports with powerful workflows and security.
  • Real people support MTS Advisory services with in-depth knowledge of social performance challenges and  reporting requirements.

The team has gone one step further, making it easier for other market segments to take advantage of the platform. So why not contact our team today at info@mts.co.za and ask for a demo.
